Your lorries and everyone else's
Most operators run a mixed fleet — some of it theirs, most of it subcontracted. Both are held the same way, so a load booked to a haulier's lorry carries the same record as one on your own.

Subcontractors held the same way as your own lorries, sorted by the field that catches people out. Tick Registration is a problem in the rail to see only the ones a waste movement would be rejected for. Hauliers and licence numbers are invented.
The subcontracted half is usually the unrecorded half
Operators tend to have decent records for the vehicles they own and almost none for the ones they hire in — which is awkward, because the hired-in ones do most of the work. The haulier is a name in a phone, the driver is whoever turned up, and the carrier registration is something nobody checks until a movement is rejected because it lapsed.
That gap shows up twice. It shows up at the weighbridge, where an unrecognised lorry means a fresh set of details typed under pressure. And it shows up in compliance, where a waste movement needs a carrier with a valid registration on the day the load moved.
Who and what is on file
Vehicles and vehicle types
Your own fleet, with drivers assigned to them and a vehicle type that determines what work they can be put on.
Hauliers and their fleets
Subcontractors as first-class records, with their own vehicles, vehicle types and drivers, and linked to the customers they carry for.
Drivers
A user type of their own, seeing only their own routes, and working from the app where they capture a signature and photograph at each stop.
Customers and their sites
Accounts with sites, addresses and saved favourites, so a delivery to a regular location is selected rather than typed.
What's in it
- Vehicles and vehicle types, with drivers assigned to them
- Haulier records with their own vehicles, vehicle types and drivers
- Hauliers linked to the customers they carry for
- Registrations matched at the weighbridge so a returning lorry pulls its own details through
- Driver accounts that see only their own routes
- Customer sites held against the account, with their own addresses and favourites
- Multi-site and multi-tenant throughout, with users scoped to the sites they work on
Questions we get asked
Does it handle subcontracted hauliers, or only our own vehicles?
Both, held the same way. A haulier has their own record, their own vehicles and vehicle types, and their own drivers. Hauliers are linked to the customers they carry for, so a load on a subcontractor’s lorry is as traceable as one on yours.
What happens when a known lorry arrives at the weighbridge?
Its registration matches the vehicle already on file, so the haulier, the carrier registration and the recorded tare come through with it. The operator confirms rather than types.
What can a driver see?
Their own routes and nothing else. Driver accounts are a separate user type with their own view, and they work from the app rather than from the operator portal.
Can we restrict users to particular sites?
Yes. Users are linked to the sites they work on, and roles are editable rather than fixed, so a weighbridge operator at one site does not see another site’s work.
Does it hold customer delivery addresses?
Yes. Customers have sites of their own with their own addresses, and frequently used addresses can be saved so a repeat delivery does not need re-entering.
Is it multi-tenant?
Yes, throughout. Tenant isolation is built into the data layer rather than filtered in at the application, which matters if you run separate trading entities off one platform.
